Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis Syariah dan Teknologi (EMBISTEK) must follow the Focus and Scope and Author Guidelines of this journal. The submitted manuscripts must fulfill scientific merit or novelty appropriate to the focus and scope of this journal. All manuscripts submitted to this journal must be written in good English or Bahasa Indonesia. Authors whose native language is not English are encouraged to have their papers checked for grammar and clarity before submission.

The work must not have been published or submitted for publication elsewhere. All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. All authors are strongly advised to use plagiarism detection software to check for similarity (please use Turnitin or iThenticate). Editors will also check the similarity of manuscripts submitted to this journal using Turnitin or iThenticate software to ensure originality.

All manuscripts submitted to this journal will be peer-reviewed by at least two (2) or more expert reviewers. The reviewers provide valuable scientific comments and suggestions to improve the quality and clarity of the manuscript. In certain cases (if required), a third peer reviewer may be invited to give additional critical comments on the submitted manuscript. The review process used in this journal is a Double-Blind Review System, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the process. The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance is made solely by the Editor-in-Chief (or the assigned Handling Editor), in consultation with the Editorial Board if necessary, based on the reviewers’ critical comments and the manuscript’s overall quality.

The final decision is determined through the Editor’s independent evaluation, taking into account (but not being solely bound by) the peer reviewers’ recommendations. Publication of accepted articles, including assigning the article to specific issues, is managed by the Editor-in-Chief, considering the sequence of acceptance dates, thematic consistency, and geographical diversity of authors.
